Naomi U. Kuwaye
Naomi Kuwaye is a partner in the Land Use, Environmental and Administrative Law Section. She presently practices in the areas of environmental and natural resources law, land use, real estate development, telecommunications law and administrative law. Her practice includes environmental litigation and regulatory compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
 
Ms. Kuwaye is currently admitted to practice in Hawaii, Oregon and Washington. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Hawaii State Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association (Inactive Status), Oregon State Bar Association, and the Hawaii Women’s Lawyers Association. She has also served as past Chair, Vice Chair and Program Chair for the Natural Resources Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and her Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College.

Ms. Kuwaye has been an invited speaker on issues involving land use and environmental compliance matters. She has also authored a number of articles on the State of Hawaii’s land use process and environmental compliance issues.
